XGW Gaming separates factual reporting from editorial analysis. News articles are built around information that can be traced to identifiable sources, while our analysis sections explain why an announcement may matter to players and the wider gaming audience.

We aim to add context rather than simply repeat an announcement. Depending on the story, this can include comparisons with earlier information, release context, platform implications, unanswered questions and XGW's editorial assessment.

We prioritize first-party and primary sources whenever they are available. These can include official developer and publisher websites, platform-holder announcements, official game pages, verified trailers, storefront listings, press releases and materials supplied by developers or publishers.

When reporting information from another publication or secondary source, we aim to identify the source clearly and avoid presenting unverified information as an established fact.

XGW uses source-status labels to help readers understand the strength of the information behind a story.

• Confirmed: the central information is supported by an official or otherwise authoritative source.
• Mixed: the story contains confirmed information alongside details that have not received the same level of official confirmation.
• Rumor: the central claim has not been officially confirmed and should be treated accordingly.

A rumor becoming widely discussed does not make it confirmed. Where appropriate, articles are updated when stronger information becomes available.

Some articles include an XGW Original Analysis section. This is editorial interpretation rather than a claim that the analysis itself came from the cited publisher or developer.

These sections may discuss why an update matters, how it changes what was previously known, what questions remain and XGW's assessment of the announcement. Opinion and interpretation are presented separately from the core factual reporting.

Gaming news changes quickly. Release dates move, platforms are added, specifications change and publishers sometimes clarify earlier announcements. When a material change affects an article, XGW may update the article and its last-updated information.

If we discover a factual error, our goal is to correct it rather than preserve information we know to be inaccurate. Readers can report a possible error through our Contact page.

When XGW publishes a review, preview or other coverage based on access supplied by a developer, publisher or PR representative, we aim to disclose relevant provided access, such as a review code, preview build or hosted opportunity.

Receiving access does not guarantee positive coverage. Editorial conclusions should reflect the experience and evidence available to XGW.

Paid partnerships, sponsorships and promotional collaborations are identified when applicable. Commercial arrangements do not turn promotional claims into editorial facts, and sponsored material should remain distinguishable from independent news and analysis.

XGW may use software and AI-assisted tools as part of research, drafting, editing, formatting, image production or other publishing workflows. These tools are production aids rather than sources of authority.

Published factual claims should be checked against the sources used for the article, and editorial responsibility for what XGW publishes remains with XGW Gaming. We do not treat AI-generated output by itself as confirmation of a news claim.

XGW content may use official promotional material, screenshots, embedded media or XGW-created editorial graphics where appropriate. Editorial graphics are intended to illustrate coverage and should not be treated as evidence of unannounced gameplay, features, platforms or release information.

Our objective is to make editorial judgments based on relevance, evidence and usefulness to readers. Publishers, developers, advertisers and collaborators do not receive a right to dictate XGW's independent editorial conclusions.
