Hearthstone Finally Gets a New Class — Monk Arrives in March 2027

Blizzard has revealed Monk as the next playable class coming to Hearthstone, giving the long-running digital card game a new class for the first time in six years.

Monk will arrive in March 2027, with Chen Stormstout serving as the class's character. Blizzard says Monk is designed around an agile and adaptable playstyle.

The announcement is part of Hearthstone's wider Reign of the Black Empire era, which launches on October 20 with 135 new collectible cards and a return to the age of the Old Gods.

Blizzard has also released a Monk class teaser and revealed additional information about the expansion's new mechanics and card set.

For Hearthstone players, the Monk reveal is one of the game's biggest class-related updates in years and gives the community a major new playstyle to anticipate.
