LEGO Skylines Revealed at Gamescom 2026 — Build Your Own LEGO City

LEGO Skylines takes the familiar idea of building a LEGO city and turns it into a full city-management game. Players start with a single plot, construct their first buildings and gradually expand their neighborhood into a much larger metropolis.

Paradox describes the game as a cozy and highly customizable city-builder designed to give players freedom to create cities that can be practical, beautiful, unusual or a mixture of all three.

Building attractive LEGO neighborhoods is only part of the experience. Players will also need to provide essential services including roads, electricity, food and water.

As the city grows, players can add homes, parks, shops, hospitals, museums, sports arenas and other services while managing systems such as garbage collection and sewage.

LEGO Skylines includes a large selection of customizable plots, buildings and LEGO decorations, allowing players to put their own personality into the city.

New buildings and services are gradually unlocked as the city expands, helping improve the city's rating and the happiness of its citizens.

Despite the Skylines name and Paradox Interactive's involvement, the publisher has explicitly confirmed that LEGO Skylines is its own standalone game.

It is not DLC for Cities: Skylines and it is not Cities: Skylines III. Development is being handled by Iceflake Studios.

LEGO Skylines is confirmed for PC through Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2.

Paradox has not announced a release date or price yet. The game is currently available to wishlist, with more information expected closer to launch.
