Negan Is Playable in The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival — New Gamescom Reveal

Negan was previously positioned as one of the major enemies players would face in Streets of Survival, but the Gamescom 2026 update confirms that he will also be playable.

His addition gives players another major character from AMC's The Walking Dead to take into the game's fast-paced brawling encounters.

Streets of Survival is built around side-scrolling arcade combat, combining melee attacks, ranged weapons, combos and finishers against walkers and hostile human enemies.

The game draws heavily from classic beat-'em-up design while using locations, characters and conflicts from The Walking Dead television universe.

Rick Grimes, Daryl Dixon and Michonne headline the existing playable lineup, each bringing signature weapons and fighting styles inspired by the series.

Rick uses his magnum, Michonne fights with her katana and Daryl brings his trademark crossbow into combat.

The campaign is inspired by The Walking Dead's All Out War storyline and focuses on the conflict with the Saviors.

Players will fight through familiar locations including Alexandria, Hilltop and the Sanctuary while facing walker swarms, dangerous survivors and major bosses.

The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival launches September 18, 2026.

It is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch and PC.
