The Blood of Dawnwalker Is Out Now — Rebel Wolves’ Dark Fantasy RPG Finally Arrives

Rebel Wolves and Bandai Namco Entertainment have officially launched The Blood of Dawnwalker on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

The September 3 release follows more than four years of development and represents the first game from Rebel Wolves, a studio created by experienced RPG developers.

The Blood of Dawnwalker takes players to Vale Sangora, a mysterious region in the Carpathian Mountains during a fictionalized version of 14th-century Europe. War and the Black Death have weakened humanity, creating an opportunity for vampires and other supernatural forces to emerge from the shadows.

At the center of the story is Coen, a young man transformed into a Dawnwalker. His unusual condition leaves him human during the day but gives him vampiric abilities after nightfall.

Coen's changing nature is central to both combat and exploration. During the day he can rely on swordsmanship and magic, while his vampire form provides supernatural powers and a very different approach to encounters.

The day-and-night system also affects how players approach quests, encouraging different strategies depending on when an objective is attempted.

Rebel Wolves describes The Blood of Dawnwalker as a narrative sandbox where players are not expected to complete every opportunity presented to them. Decisions about where to go, who to help and how to spend time can influence the direction of Coen's story.

The central objective is deeply personal: Coen must attempt to save his family while navigating alliances, enemies and the growing influence of the vampires controlling his homeland.

The Blood of Dawnwalker is positioned as the first chapter of a new dark fantasy role-playing saga from Rebel Wolves.

Built using Unreal Engine 5, the game combines a handcrafted open world with narrative choices, exploration, sword combat, magic and vampire abilities as the studio establishes its new RPG universe.

The official launch trailer offers a final look at Coen's journey through Vale Sangora, including combat, supernatural abilities and his conflict with the vampire forces dominating the region.

With the game now available across PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, players can begin exploring the first chapter of the Dawnwalker saga.
