Ubisoft has officially announced Heroes of Might and Magic III Remake, bringing the acclaimed turn-based strategy game back in a ground-up remake scheduled for 2027 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

Built using Ubisoft's Snowdrop engine, the remake transforms the original fixed 2D isometric presentation into a detailed 3D world with free camera control. Ubisoft is also adding 4K visuals, dynamic lighting, real-time weather and changing seasons while retaining the strategy, hero progression and tactical grid combat that defined the original.

The remake includes the original game's continent, campaigns and nine factions alongside the Armageddon's Blade and The Shadow of Death expansions. Ubisoft is also introducing a new prologue campaign, new cinematics, revamped multiplayer and expanded tools for community-created content.

A Ground-Up 3D Remake

Ubisoft also plans updated editor tools and an in-game UGC hub for discovering and sharing community-created content.
